How the Government can support health workers in this pandemic

How the Government can support health workers in this pandemic

Policy Letter

Coronavirus infections continue to grow and as they do, health workers are also getting infected, mainly due to the fact that they are indispensably at the forefront of combating the spread of this pandemic and are providing immediate medicare to affected persons as well as a range of other necessary services to the larger population including testing, manning and operating quarantine centres.

Health workers are working round the clock and it is only fitting that they are duly incentivized and acknowledged for their sacrifice thus, the aim of this policy letter is to provide a guide for the Nigerian Government on measures to help protect and incentivize health workers during the period of the pandemic.
